Asbestos are a natural mineral that comes in six forms and divided in 2 families. Chrysotile comes from serpentine family and tremolite, actinolite, anthophyllite, amosite, and crocidolite are the part of amphibole family. Asbestos occurs in bundles of fibers which could be easily shared into smaller threads having high length of diameter ratios.
This is flexible so that it can be spun into clothes and in addition asbestos have high tensile strength. Quite negative side effects are associated with asbestos among which the cause of mesothelioma, a type of lung disease comes first which is caused be asbestos. Thinking more asbestos exposure links to many others cancers such as esophageal, gastrointestinal, throat and colorectal.
Many other problems such as Asbestos warts, pleural plaques in the lungs, and diffuse pleural thickening could be the cause of this silicate mineral. Because of all these sins Asbestos has been banned from multiple uses
